Week 7: A Year of Projects

This is going to be a super short post.  There has been some progress on the sleeve of my sweater.  I've knit a few rows everyday this week. I'm hoping to get a picture up later, it's just not working right now.

This week,  I've been focused on organizing the stash. I've been taking pictures and cataloging bins.  It's coming along nicely.  The biggest question is where to store it.  Hoping to figure that one out soon.

  2. Sounds like you and I are wresting with the same yarn organization sort of questions. I gave up picturing my stash. I did try cataloging and picturing to take advantage of Ravelry's stash features but it got to be so embarrassingly huge. And I am not much of a photographer. In fact I am having problems with my photos looking stretched out height wise lately on my view of posts but not looking that way in draft. Also on Ravelry they look the same weirdness. Off to research!

  3. The new blogger is giving all of us issues. Seems we all have different issues with it too. Hopefully next week your issues will be solved.

  5. I’ve been sorting my stash too. I have one of those storage cubes that has 9 sections. My goal is to keep my stash controlled to that space.

  6. Sounds like you've been productive. Sorting stash is always a useful thing to do. I often find myself inspired about something new to make when I start organizing, sorting, or just handling my yarns. :)

  7. BLogger was a little easier for me this week. I am slowly figuring it out. The pictures on my phone are coming out elongated but they seem ok on my laptop. Why or why did they have to change things. Good luck with your stash organizing. I can't wait to see pictures once you get to that point.

  8. I have my stash catalogued on Ravelry but I joined it before I really acquired my stash, so it was an easy quick task each time I bought something new. Perhaps if you have patterns in your queue you could start by cataloguing the yarn in your stash for those projects. That would be a smaller job perhaps...but maybe writing on paper as you store things and then writing it in Ravelry later in small batches may be easier. I don’t envy you the task but it will be a good feeling when it is all organised.

  10. Stash on Ravelry is one area I have not mastered. I don't always remember to put my stash into Ravelry and I don't always remember to select my yarn from my stash posts when making my project page. Hence the prepackaged project bags sitting on my shelves. :)

  12. I've been thinking about storage solutions as well this week, and I've decided to just give in to startitis and knit and crochet all the things on my list. Storage problem solved. LOL.
